Looks Like Someone Won't Be "Moving Around" Anytime Soon
As reported here exclusively on November 18th 2008, rapper Bump J also known as Terrence Boykin was charged in connection of a Chase branch bank robbery in January 2007. Boykin has recently decided to plead guilty and accept a plea bargain which will sentence him to 7 years in a Federal prison.
It is reported that Boykin and another unknown suspect entered the bank, displayed a .45 caliber handgun to a bank employee and demanded money. The bank robbery supposedly netted Boykin and the unknown suspect with an estimated $108,135.
Boykin was arrested in connection with the bank robbery several months later in Carbondale, IL during a routine traffic stop.
Boykin's 2004 hit "Move Around" (produced by Kanye West) was featured on EA Sports NBA Live 2004, and a McDonald's commercial. His unreleased album was expected to top the charts, however was delayed due to management issues.

Final Thought: Bump J was easily the next big Chicago rapper to grace the rap industry with a unique talent. As a fan, and someone who's spoked with him on several occasions it's saddening to know someone so talented will now spend the next 7 years in prison.
