FaceBook Adds "Whore" As New Relationship Status Option...In Other News, Several Of Kells' Ex-Girlfriends Coincidentally Change Their FaceBook Relationship Status After Hearing About This New Option

A new survey by Kaplan, a subsidiary of the Washington Post reveals that the top 500 colleges in the nation now look at FaceBook profiles to evaluate their applicants. Out of those colleges over 38% of applicants have reportedly been negatively effected because of their FaceBook profiles. College admissions departments all over the country now have yet another tool they can use to weed out applicants during their selection process, unfortunately the students aren't aware of this type of investigating and continue to post tons of miscellaneous negative content on their online profiles.

This isn't surprising. During recent job interviews I've been asked if I'm a member of any social network, leading me to believe the investigation included a thorough check of my online profiles. I've also read in the past that more and more jobs are searching social networks to determine if their applicant is eligible for hire. People assume because their profiles are "private" that background investigations won't include any information in their profile. That's completely false, especially in cases where applicants sign release forms (orientations, application packets, etc.) prior to getting hired. A quick call to the social network's headquarters (i.e FaceBook, MySpace), and faxing of release forms can grant instant access to any information listed on these websites. source

Speaking on the combination of attention whores and social networking, I managed to come across Sarah Palin's facebook account. Hilarity is an understatement.

Now that the election is over and everyone can go back to being the politically asinine and simpleminded people they were before the election, it's time to evaluate the impact race has had on the election. Yes that's right it's time to ask "would your vote have been different if Barack Hussein Obama were White and John Sidney McCain were Black?" This is a question that's been bothering me for days because many people who've participated in this year's election were driven completely by race. Although it's impossible to determine if race decided the entire election, it still doesn't hurt to ask.

While browsing Google's "Street View" in my city of Chicago, IL. I managed to find a photo of a young man pointing a gun at a crowd. Only on the south side of Chicago would an image of a random act of violence be caught on camera by Google. You couldn't make this stuff up.

I've decided to start a new game here at Lost in Transition. The game will be entitled "Gender Wars." I'll post a picture of someone, and ask what's the gender of the person included in the picture. Once results are gathered (via comments), I'll post the answer along with a follow up picture of the person to verify the gender.

For our 1st installment of Gender Wars, we have someone who obviously is a cross between a sand monster and a Rick James look alike. So I ask the question, male or female?

Moving on, will someone explain what the hell is this woman doing?

Update November 13 2008 3:52PM: I've listened to the entire album. I must say 3 tracks on the album I've uploaded have horrible sound quality. Oh yeah if you don't like Kanye West singing, then don't waste your time downloading this album.
